Let's go
Interrail & Eurail | Rail Pass Europe
Go on an adventure with the Interrail Pass! Build your own trip and travel up to 33 different European countries. The Interrail Pass offers the perfect opportunity to travel abroad by train. With only one pass, you get to experience new places and cultures. Choose the Interrail Global Pass for travelling across the whole European continent and the One Country Pass for travelling in one specific country. Interrail is for everyone who´s a resident of one of the 31 participating countries. Children aged 11 and younger travel for free, whereas youth travellers (between 12 and 27) and seniors (60 and over) get a discount. In case you don´t take up residence in Europe, you´re not eligible for an Interrail Pass. The Eurail Pass, however, works in a similar way as the Interrail Pass and allows you to travel the exact same (parts of) the continent by train. In first class you travel particularly comfortably across Europe.

Interrail Global Pass - Countries
The Interrail Global Pass is valid in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Luxembourg, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Switzerland.

Interrail and reservations
For many international trains reservations are required, including popular trains like the Thalys to Paris, the Eurostar to London and the TGV in France. At the Train Travel Shop it is possible to make unlimited reservations when ordering your Interrail pass. We can make reservations for almost all trains in Europe.

Avoid expensive surcharges
For some trains the costs for compulsory reservations are high, for example the Eurostar to London or the Thalys to Paris. As a true Interrail specialist we can advise you on alternative routes that are much cheaper. For example, to save on the Thalys surcharge it is often much cheaper to travel with an Intercity to Lille and from there take the TGV to Paris. This travel time is only slightly longer than the journey by direct Thalys.

Interrail & Ferries
A few ferries offer free travel on presentation of an Interrail pass, for example the boat from Italy to Greece. Most ferries do not allow this, but a discount is usually possible. For ferries the 7 p.m. rule also applies, see below.

7 p.m. rule
If you have a flexi pass (e.g. 5 days within 10 days) it can save a lot of time and money to respect the 7 pm rule. This means that if a train is taken after 19.00 hours it can be noted as one travel day.

Interrail - Night trains
On most night trains it is possible to book a seat, berth/bench 4 or 6 person compartment or bed in a 3, 2 or 1 person compartment. A washbasin and toilet are standard on both sides of the wagon.

Festivals and events
Travel with the Interrail pass to the best festivals and events in Europe.
