Railways through the Austrian Alps are main line railways, not narrow-gauge lines like in Switzerland. The railways also do not reach the same altitudes as their Swiss counterparts. In 1st class, you travel in a panoramic coach along the most scenic stretches of the rail tour. Visit beautiful historic cities full of interesting sights like Graz, Vienna and Salzburg.

The train

  • Comfortable Austrian trains
  • DDSG Danube boat ride
  • Arlberg railway and Enns Valley railway in panoramic carriage (1st class only)
