Germany and Motorail
Germany has been one of the most important countries for DB Autozug over the past 70 years. The German railways, Deutsche Bahn, ran dozens of DB trains throughout Europe for decades, both in summer and winter. From Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hildesheim, Munich and Berlin, DB Autozug ran to destinations in France, Austria, Italy and Croatia. Since the disappearance of DB Autozug, the supply of good local trains in Germany has been reduced enormously. In recent years the Austrian railways, the ÖBB, have built up a new network of night trains - a large proportion of these night trains can take cars and motorbikes. The ÖBB Nightjet is modern and comfortable and meets the requirements of the new era. ÖBB currently runs the car train from Hamburg to Innsbruck, for example.

Stations in Germany
In the past, cities such as Hildesheim, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Düsseldorf had their own train stations. In recent years only the station in Hamburg, Hamburg-Altona, has been used by ÖBB.

Motorail stations Germany
All stations in Germany are run by the German railways, Deutsche Bahn, and are well signposted. If you need help getting your car onto the autotrain, that is possible.
